At Dennykins Foundation, we recognize that access to digital tools and knowledge is no longer a luxury—it is a necessity for meaningful participation in today’s economy. Our Digital Literacy for Economic Inclusion program is designed to empower individuals, especially youth, women, and underserved communities, with the skills needed to thrive in a digital-first world.

🌍 Why It Matters

Millions of Kenyans are excluded from critical government services and income opportunities simply because they lack the knowledge to navigate online platforms. From filing tax returns via iTax, applying for NHIF/NSSF, or even starting a business through eCitizen, digital skills are essential.

This program addresses:

• Digital Illiteracy in marginalized communities

• Barriers to accessing public services

• Unemployment and underemployment due to lack of tech skills

• Misinformation and cyber vulnerability

📚 What We Do

We deliver hands-on training, mobile workshops, and community digital forums covering:

✅ eCitizen & Government Portals – Birth registration, business registration, NHIF/NSSF, KRA PINs, licensing, etc.
✅ Smartphone Skills – Using mobile phones for banking, communication, job applications, and productivity
✅ iTax & eTIMS – Basic tax portal navigation for filing returns and accessing statements
✅ Online Safety & Cyber Hygiene – Avoiding scams, protecting passwords, and responsible digital behavior
✅ Digital Entrepreneurship – How to access remote jobs, freelancing platforms, and start an online business
✅ Access to Devices & Wi-Fi Hubs – Partnering with county governments and NGOs to provide tools where needed
