Young people in Kenya often finish school with little to no financial education. The foundation aims to change that through youth-specific programs that teach budgeting, saving, investing, and taxation. These programs are held in schools, colleges, and youth centers.
Each session is tailored to age groups. For instance, high school students learn basic concepts of income and expenses, while college students delve into topics like HELB loan repayment and digital entrepreneurship. Real-life case studies and simulations make the sessions relatable.
The foundation collaborates with educators, youth leaders, and local government bodies to integrate financial literacy into youth programs. The aim is not just awareness, but behavior change. Participants are encouraged to start savings groups, run mock businesses, and even file their first tax returns.
This cause prepares the next generation to be financially responsible adults. In the long run, it reduces dependency, increases entrepreneurship, and contributes to a more informed tax base in Kenya.
